Professional Consultation for Psychotherapists

PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION FOR PSYCHOTHERAPISTS

Come to the place where it can be all about you and what you need.

As a therapist, you hold it together all day for everyone else. You put off your own feelings and needs. You pretend to be okay because you need to be okay and in your heart, you know you will be okay.

You are the one who holds it together even when you get a health update between therapy sessions and have to decide between your crisis and your client’s needs. You are the one who gets a hurtful text from a loved one, but needs to push it aside because your next client will need your full attention.

You can push into that space where your therapist part takes over, but you worry that your parts in crisis are clearly shining through.

You know you need a break but you can’t figure out how to take one or what kind of break will actually work for you. You know all of the tools and techniques that work, but you are not objective enough to make them work for yourself.

You feel alone because so few others actually get how much you have to manage. And that the stakes can be so high. Nobody knows the load you carry, and you can’t tell anyone because it is confidential, and the work matters, so you keep at it, even when it takes a toll.

You deserve someone who can wholeheartedly listen and get what you are saying. Someone who can hear your needs and knows what to say.

This is where I come in.

I have been doing this therapy work for a long time. The most consistent feedback that I get, whether from client or family or friend, is that others feel better after they talk with me. I want to offer that to you.

I offer professional consultation for therapists. We can discuss what helps you better perform in your profession. You decide what you need from session to session. This is not therapy, coaching, or supervision. It is professional support.
